Marwadi University Hosts Successful Second Edition of International Tech Conference

Marwadi University recently concluded the second edition of the International Conference on Advancements in Smart Computing and Information Security (ASCIS) 2023. The event, held at the university’s modern 32-acre campus in Gujarat, showcased a range of research papers highlighting the latest developments in AI & ML, Smart Computing, Cyber Security, Computer Networks, and Interdisciplinary Computer Applications.

A total of 152 papers were presented across various sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, automobile, engineering, pharma, cybercrime, and sports. As per a recent IndiaAI report, artificial intelligence is projected to contribute nearly £1 trillion to the Indian economy by 2035.

The two-day ASCIS 2023 conference was supported by notable sponsors such as the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Coursera, D-Link, Stelcore, and Samatrix. This enabled top global scientific researchers and industry leaders to participate as co-chairs and program chairs. The conference brought together researchers, academicians, and industry experts from India and around the world to share innovative research, insights, and advancements.

Among the distinguished experts were Dr. Venkat Rayapati, CEO, Cyber Forza Inc, USA; H.R. Mohan, ICT Consultant & Chair of Events, IEEE Computer Society; and Deepak Jain, Associate Professor, Dalian University of Technology, China.

Dr. R Sridaran, Dean, Faculty of Computer Applications and General Chair of ASCIS, Marwadi University, expressed his gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions. He said, “The latest developments in AI and ML are moving at an unprecedented pace. With the upcoming dawn of AGI powered by quantum computing, we are set to witness advancements in all fields of human endeavor like never before.”

The successful hosting of ASCIS 2023 further cements Marwadi University’s commitment to becoming a center for academic excellence and a catalyst for cutting-edge research in computing and information technology. The Faculty of Computer Applications at the university boasts numerous labs, established with funding support from the Department of Science and Technology, Gujarat.
