The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad), in collaboration with Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Varanasi, announces its role as a Nodal Centre for Telangana in the Yuva Sangam initiative (Phase – III) as a significant move toward fostering national unity and cultural understanding. Under the visionary “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” program by the Government of India, this initiative aims to strengthen bonds among the youth from diverse states, encouraging unity and comprehension among the vibrant young minds of the nation.
Understanding Yuva Sangam:
Yuva Sangam is a brainchild of the Indian government that brings together youth from across the country offering them exposure tours to different states. This program, scheduled from November to December, enables students, off-campus youths, NSS volunteers, and individuals aged 18-30 to get into India’s rich tapestry of culture, traditions, development, and technology, thereby enhancing their understanding of the nation’s diversity and unity.
The Objectives of Yuva Sangam:
Yuva Sangam is designed to provide multi-dimensional exposure to the youth under five broad categories: Tourism, Traditions, Development, People-to-People Connect, and Technology. This approach aims to empower the youth and foster cultural promotion and interdisciplinary learning.
Prof. B S Murty, Director, IITH, said, “IITH, driven by its motto to ‘Invent & Innovate in Technology for Humanity’ and in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, proudly announces its role as a Nodal Centre for Telangana in Yuva Sangam (Phase – III), partnering with BHU Varanasi. This visionary creation by the Government of India strives to unite and empower our youth, fostering cultural promotion, interdisciplinary learning, and technological innovation.”
